Get Involved

Participants of the ORE PROJECTS in the RubinoWilson workshop, learning how to weld during a hands-on mentoring programme.

Our mentoring scheme is built around the idea that people grow faster when they’re supported, encouraged, and given the space to explore their potential. Whether you’re a student, a young maker, or someone looking to develop practical skills in a real workshop environment, we offer opportunities to learn directly from experienced fabricators, designers, and craftspeople.

Our workshop is a friendly professional space which is designed to make metalwork and hands-on learning accessible to all.

Who It’s For

Our mentoring is open to anyone with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. We work with:

  • Students exploring creative or technical subjects
  • 16-25s looking for direction or hands‑on experience
  • Individuals wanting to build practical skills or confidence
  • Communities interested in making, sculpture, or fabrication
  • We offer tailored classes to learning-disabled young adults.

No previous experience is required, just an interest in how things are made.

We work closely with schools and colleges, weather you are a teacher or an individual, we would love to hear from you.

Why It Matters

We believe in the value of passing on skills and supporting the next generation of makers. By opening our workshop and sharing our knowledge, we aim to:

  • Build confidence through practical achievement
  • Encourage creative problem‑solving
  • Provide access to tools, materials, and real‑world experience
  • Create a supportive environment where people can grow
  • Normalise women and LGBT+ Individuals working within our industry.

It’s about more than learning to make things, it’s about helping people find their voice, their abilities, and their direction.

How to Take Part

If you’d like to join the mentoring scheme, collaborate on a project, or simply find out more, we’d love to hear from you. We tailor each experience to the individual, so the first step is a conversation about what you’re interested in and how we can support you.
